• Bauble pendant with diamonds in platinum

Bauble pendant with diamonds was created as a haute joaillerie piece for a discerning client. It was encrusted with brilliant cut and pear shape diamonds, which covered the entire surface with a vine-twist and double band pattern. The top was set with a half carat diamond and another band of fine white brilliant diamonds. The pendant was a statement piece, measuring about 40mm in length.
The bauble was Roman set, so the whole pendant had a smooth and tactile finish. All of the diamonds were set down onto the platinum and either rubbed over or milligrained, to secure each stone.
We additionally made a lush, rounded diamond set bail for the pendant to attach to a chain. The bauble pendant with diamonds was suspended via the bail onto a strong, platinum trace chain which went straight over the head, at 24″ long.
This bespoke pendant was totally unique and not to be repeated. We collaborated very closely with the client, trying to fulfil every aspect of her complicated brief. The time and consideration that was put into creating this piece, I think resulted in one of the most extraordinary items of bespoke jewellery that we have ever made.
The design brief started from a floral concept. The customer wanted a highly decorative, organic looking piece. She was very keen on using flower shapes and our inspiration was taken from daisies, vines and also a panel pattern, of interior design in the lady’s home.

Every bespoke piece of jewellery is designed and made in our studio. Each design is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright laws. We endeavour to only ever make one item of a design. Occasionally, a variation on a theme will be asked for and if we feel that the final design will have significantly differing qualities to the original piece, then we may re-create it in its new guise.
